Perfectly Inadequate
This title came from a sermon by my pastor and dear friend, Dr. Joseph Pearson.
He also shared with me this line: "Although my voice may waver, my faith does not."
Chorus:
I'm not perfect, just perfectly inadequate
To testify to the wonder of my King
But my Lord is perfect - His love is consummate
I am His, and that is why I sing
I am not worthy to go to the banquet
I am not worthy to pick up crumbs
But my Lord is worthy, and He gave the invitation
So to His table I will gladly come (Chorus)
All I have, He gave me; He gave His life to save me
How could I forget what He has done
My sins are all forgiven, from evil I'm delivered
Into His open arms I'll gladly run (Chorus)
So I'll use the gifts He gave me
To praise my Lord who made me
There's nothing on this earth I'd rather do
And though my voice may waver
It's not my hymn that matters
But the Him in me that keeps on shining through
(Chorus)
